Your removal company is a reliable source for high-quality moving boxes, which you can either hire or buy. Invest in quality boxes as they play a crucial role in protecting your belongings during transport. Sturdy bases and good stackability are particularly important to ensure safe transport.
In addition, your removal company offers the option of delivering packing materials directly in good time before the move. If you need less material than expected, you can simply return the unused boxes and packaging on the day of the move.
In order for a removal company to provide a precise quote, some important information is required. This includes: the volume of the removal goods, the transport routes, the number of floors, the availability of a lift, the need for packing materials, possible no-stopping zones and the required services such as dismantling and assembly of furniture or packing and unpacking services.
The most effective way is to arrange an on-site visit to clarify all the details. Alternatively, you can fill out a removal goods list or an online questionnaire and provide it to the company.
The following applies to removals: whoever packs is liable. Damage to removal goods that you have packed yourself is generally not covered by the removal company. There are also certain exclusions: Valuables, animals, plants and electronic equipment are generally not insured, even if a removal company takes care of the move. The company's liability is based on the current value of the damaged item, i.e. the new value less a deduction for age and use. The maximum liability amount is EUR 620 per cubic metre of removal goods.
Exclusions of liability and "unavoidable events"
The removal company is not liable if damage is caused by so-called "unavoidable events". These include, for example, accidents caused by black ice or damage caused by unknown third parties. To protect yourself in such cases, you can take out removal transport insurance.
This insurance offers protection based on the current value or, optionally, the replacement value of your goods. The costs depend on the scope of the insurance and the value of the items. Many removal companies offer advice on this topic and can take out the insurance policy directly for you.
Document and report damage
If damage occurs during the move, careful documentation is crucial. For vulnerable items, such as bulky furniture, it is advisable to record the condition with photos before the move.

Any damage must be described in detail and submitted in writing. If possible, damage should be reported directly to the team leader on site and recorded on the work slip.

No, our teams carry out physically demanding work during the week and therefore have weekends off. We therefore only carry out removals from Monday to Friday.
Our availability varies, so we recommend contacting us at least eight weeks before the desired moving date. Requests at shorter notice are also possible, but not guaranteed. Basically, the earlier the better! This allows us to plan your move optimally and ensure a smooth process.
In our new and ultra-modern storage facility, we offer various options for temporarily storing some or even all of your household goods. This way you can ensure that your belongings are well protected until your new home is ready.
