As a specialist for furniture, kitchen and removal services (FMKU), you will unpack and deliver furniture - for private households and companies. You assemble kitchens and install electrical appliances. You advise customers and take care of the planning. You organize the move and carry it out in an environmentally friendly way.
Changing assignments with a wide variety of customers at different locations mean that boredom is never an option. There is no such thing as a typical day at a furniture removal company.
Becoming a specialist for furniture, kitchen and removal services at a furniture removal company sometimes involves a private move, sometimes a company move, packing valuable items for overseas transportation, archives that need to be stored or other sensitive goods that need to be moved from one place to another. An FMKU trainee can assess how to do this properly, what aids and tools a specialist needs, how furniture is correctly packed, transported, assembled and dismantled - all this is something they can already assess after their first year of training.
You will learn how to use tools and materials, how to professionally dismantle and assemble furniture, safe transportation, woodworking and adapting furniture and kitchens. You will also be trained in planning removals, including volume and area calculations, route planning and cost calculations. You will also learn how to deal with colleagues and customers to strike the right tone!
